Peruvian Rainforest Eco-Lodge
This lodge is at the forefront of the marriage of ecological conservation and tourist getaway. There's all sorts of solar power, composting, native wood structures built by native peoples, even a biology lab used by Cornell University. Jungle cruises and rainforest hikes are led by some of the best informed guides of all the lodges. Meanwhile the lodge has some great communal spaces, and the rooms, some with private bath (cold water only), others are shared, are all comfortable and well maintained. It's a 3-4 hour boat journey from Iquitos.
